Super Eagles, Bitrus Bewarang has
advised Eagles Head Coach Stephen
Keshi to ignore all the utterances of
Malawi Coach Tom Saintfiet which
he said are aimed at destabilizing the
Super Eagles who will be resuming
camp on September 2, for the 2014
world cup qualifier against Malawi
in Calabar.
Keshi and Saintfiet have been on
each other’s throat after the Malawi
FA said Calabar was insecure for the
match and also the Malawi coach
reporting Keshi to FIFA for what
he claimed to be a racist comment
against him.
Bewarang said he was happy that
the Eagles versus Malawi match will
take place eventually next week as
he wants the match to be done with
to finally silence Saintfeit and the
Malawians.
“I am happy this match will take
place soon but what I am not happy
about is Coach Keshi trying to fall
in into mind twisting tactics the
Coach of Malawi is trying to put him
(Keshi) through”
“I believe that we have quality
players that can put us through.
Let Keshi just try and concentrate
fully on the September 7th match
in Calabar and map out strategies to
win the game”
“Let him not get angry because
when he gets angry that can
destabilize him and make him lose
focus as regards the pattern of play
or the kind of tactics he wants to
employ in the game. It is important
for the team and the technical crew
to fully concentrate on the task
ahead.”
