Association of Local Government on Nigeria, ALGON, Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Chapter, has expressed satisfaction over what they described as giant strides recorded in infrastructural development and project execution by the FCT Minister, Sen. Bala Mohammed.
The FCT ALGON Chairman, Hon. Micah Jiba who made this known to journalists in Abuja on behalf of chairmen of the six area councils, said
that the peace and security presently being experienced in the FCT is in line with the transformation agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan.
According to Jiba who is also the Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, the six area councils are proud to identify with the laudable achievements in the FCT, thereby pledging their unalloyed support for the improved development of the FCT by FCT Minister and his
Minister of State, Oloye Olajumoke Akinjide.
“When we take a critical look at the area of Primary Health Care centres that have been put in place in all the communities in the FCT, mostly the 12 wards of AMAC, where a committee has been put in place to oversee the management and supply of health care facilities in the centers for the benefit of the people, we will say that this present FCT administration has done very well for the people.
I could recall that one of the Minister’s policies that initially generated public concern and criticism, was the transport policy, because, nobody thought it was going to work. But to the surprise of everybody, it is working perfectly. We must also commend the FCT Minister for using the SURE-P Taxis to generate jobs for FCT residents who were jobless in the past. Which proved that he is a leader for the people,” he said.
