Authorities of the Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife, have released the results of its post-UTME screening examination conducted last Saturday with 44 of the candidates scoring 300 marks and above.
A statement signed and issued by the public relations officer of the university, Mr. Abiodun Olarenwaju and made available to Nigerian Pilot in Osogbo yesterday, said that the results were released barely three hours after the conduct of the exercise.
The statement said that out of 12,200 candidates who participated in the screening exercise, 44 scored 300 marks and above while 5,691 candidates scored 200 and above. It said further that the whole screening exercise was based on 400 marks.
According to the statement, Durotoluwa Olumide Olanrewaju, who applied to study Chemical Engineering, top the list after scoring 332 while Soile Olufunso Adetola, who applied to study Medicine, came second after scoring 327.
However, two candidates, Odimayo Taiye Moses and Nafiu Olaniyi Oluwadamilare, who both applied to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering, scored 323 each.
The vice chancellor, Professor Bamitale Omole, who commended the intellectual soundness of those who took part in the screening exercise, also applauded the academic excellence the candidates, particularly those who scored 300 and above, and most especially the first three(3) best candidates.
The release, therefore, advised candidates who took part in the post-UTME exercise to check their results on OAU website or where they registered for the screening.
