Plateau state chairman of the People’s Democratic Party , PDP, Raymond Dabo yesterday announced the cancelation of the delegate congress of the party in Pankshin local government of Plateau state.
The cancelation, according to Dabo was based on disagreement among stakeholders of the local government over distribution of the delegate forms.
Addressing newsmen in Jos yesterday, Hon Dabo said, “We have to cancel the congress in Pankshin local government because there was serious disagreement by stakeholders of the local government.
“Top political leaders of the local government stormed my office with complains over distribution of delegates form, we sat in my office and agree to cancel the congress, and so it has been cancelled.
“The committee supervising the congress in Pankshin local government has also been dissolved based on agreement reached by all the stakeholders of the local government.
“A new date will be agreed, and a new committee to supervise the rescheduled congress.
The party had earlier set up its own committee to supervise the congress in all the 17 local governments of the state.
The delegation from the national secretariat of PDP sent to supervise the conduct of the congress in Plateau was led by Senator Tilly Gyado from Benue State.
